Something you need to know about Stuart is, he’s smart, studious, and serious. The day after our photo shoot, he graduated with his associate’s degree, and he is now on his way to Texas A&M. Look at how serious Stu is:

Something you really need to know about Stuart is, he’s really silly. In fact, I’m not totally sure when he IS serious. How we got the above serious-looking shots is beyond me.

This is the Stuart I know best:

Stu is the kind of guy that takes direction well. I say splash in that puddle, and he does it.

I say “Jump!” and he asks “How high?” He’ll make an excellent university student.

I met Stuart at the college we both attended. I worked in Campus Life where he did his student government office hours. Stu became my at-work son. He never failed to bring laughter into the office.

No, Stu…thank YOU! I’m happy to have met you. Good luck in big kids school!

Once Upon…A Miracle Child

All children are miracles, but some are harder to get than others. Parents Josh and Shae waited for 5 long years, but Aurora was worth every second of that wait.

Shae saw an idea somewhere about doing a series of photos in larger clothing that one’s child would eventually grow into. So here we start at age one.

What I love most about these shots is how mom is helping daughter. It immediately brings to mind scenes from many years later when Shae will be helping Aurora dress for prom and then…her wedding. Oh, I’m so sorry, Mom. I didn’t mean to make you think that far ahead. Or maybe what I mean is, hold on! Time flies and our babies grow way too fast.

Aurora is quite the firecracker and just too cute for words.

Little girls are full of emotion. They express it well and without apology. Wait for it…

Something I enjoy doing with all my clients is including (for their eyes only) the fun outtakes. But since this is a wee little one, she won’t mind this little collage of the cutest “outtake” faces.
